  1. Thanksgiving dinner in Bolivia. Before: http://bit.ly/5hxMfl & After: http://bit.ly/5hxMfl
  2. @legalnomads Paraguay is next. Were going to take a bus tonight, but still have some errands & loose ends to tie up. Plan to leave Sunday.
  3. @legalnomads Still thinking a lot about Potosi & the mines, conversations, history, present. Hope to collect thoughts & pics this weekend.
  4. Politics heating up in Bolivia. Every day features bands, cars circling city w/ flags & speakers. Interesting to be in non-Evo territory.
  5. Still stuffed from last night's Thanksgiving feast. Have enough leftovers to feed us until we leave Bolivia for Paraguay, so we'll eat well.
  6. Wondering if feeling will return to my finger after peeling 1.5 k of potatoes w/ dull knife last night. Awesome mashed potatoes tho. Bolivia
  7. Cobbling together ingredients from the market in Sucre, Bolivia to make a Thanksgiving feast. Wish us luck :) Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
  8. Street vendor selling photocopied origami instruction books on street corner in Sucre, Bolivia. Origami in Bolivia? Who knew.
  9. Wonder if we'll be able to find celery in market in Sucre, Bolivia to make stuffing tomorrow for Thanksgiving. Improvise, improvise.

  12. And, there was big protest against domestic violence in Potosi, Bolivia with all ages - from school kids to grandmas - involved. Busy day.
  13. But on the positive side today, we stumbled upon a children's fair in Potosi's (Bolivia) main square demonstration hand washing. Too cute!!
  14. Annoyed. Hotel disregarded written reservation + call today to let them know of late arriival. No apology. Hour wasted finding new place.
  15. When Potosi mine guide found out we've been married 9 yrs & didn't have kids, he made offering to Tio for us to have 6 kids. Yikes! Bolivia
  16. @TrailofAnts Did more research last night when internet worked & found that boys were out of mines thx to film (Devil's Miner). Glad to hear
  17. @collazoprojects You might also find this interesting re: Potosi mines. Thanks goes to @legalnomads for sending this. http://bit.ly/4uebDd
  18. @collazoprojects Visit to Potosi mines left us exhausted - physically & emotionally. So much to process - good & bad.
  19. @TrailofAnts Didn't get to see DVD extras re: boys' lives 1 year on. What happened? Bolivian guy at hotel said boys hardly got anything.
  20. @TrailofAnts Just watched Devil's Miner. Glad to have seen it after visit to mines. Reminds me of 12-year old we saw today working 10 hours.
