  1. Mosquitoes. Yet another perk to living in DC.
  2. As I heaved bags up from the hellhole of Penn station I saw the sunlight and the city. I had forgotten how beautiful New York is.
  3. And the 747 does all of that running Windows 3.1! Planes are cool. New York City tomorrow will be a blast but I'll sorely miss London.
  4. What weighs 400 tonnes, moves at nearly 1000 km/h and can be up to 10 km in the sky? Me, and the 747 in which I'm transatlantic tomorrow.
  5. That old maxim about 'if it's important you'll remember it', after forgetting something... yes, well, it is utter rubbish.
  6. I like Inglourious Basterds. Mainly because the sight of the Nazi swastika makes my blood boil and seeing it in flames, well, that's better.
  7. @JonathanCee Using Tiger, I flirted with, then seriously stuck with, and then ditched mail.app. Gmail online just makes more sense to me.
  8. @ReneeCGoldman It's all Paris's fault! What a dramatic place. I've decided to come here once or twice a year for as long as I can afford it.
  9. Transatlantic in a week as the university reminds me of its existence. Soon August will bow out with its stylish flourish. September awaits.
  10. Just with quai Branly, Guimet, Rodin, and Orangerie even these 'less-than-the-Lourve' Parisian museums make this city museum heaven.
  11. The quai Branly museum is great! African, Asia, American, and Oceanic exhibits suspended in a boulder over a tropical-botanical garden.
  12. @justmohit Inkling of a seedling of a totipotent embryonic idea for.. some writing inspired by the holidaying.
  13. I saw 'do you want to date my avatar?' come up on BuzzFeed so I watched that, then seasons 1 & 2 of the Guild. Catchy song and fun show too.
  14. Definitely add the Asian Art museum called Guimet to the list of necessary visits in Paris. Back to the Louvre for the view from Carrousel.
  15. In Paris visit Sainte-Chappelle, Napoleon's Tomb, the Orangerie, the Rodin museum, Louvre (thrice), Eiffel, Montmarte & Notre Dame's garden.
  16. Parisian eating: forego the brasserie mid-range. Go for cheap street food during the day, Amorino's gelato later, and then a posh evening.
  17. It's a hectic pace so the twittering will be low. Worth saying is that Paris is neither over-rated nor 'not what it used to be'. It's a gem.
  18. I've been in Collioure and Paris this month - my first time in both places, hence, the silence. Next: London Monday, NY Sunday, DC Tuesday.
  19. Suffering the infamous Jamieson-Hookah cold. Pincer movement of paracetamol, benzocaine, and tyrothricin to follow a heavy British pie.
  20. Polishing shoes on escalator brushes.
