  1. I wonder how many pundits have done the math on what these "web font services" mean for type designers (not foundries).
  2. @typegirl I didn't even notice. :-) Very, very cool stuff!
  3. RT @typegirl: An advanced look at Kzuraki, Ken Lunde's (Adobe) beautiful, new Japanese typeface. http://tr.im/EQV3
  4. @opto Yep.
  5. @hithro I guess all these years of putting hinting data into OTF-CFF fonts was a big waste of time.
  6. @hithro Yeah. Facts are such a nuisance.
  7. For the record: OTF-CFF fonts can contain hinting information. Well made OTF-CFF fonts almost always do.
  8. The amount of demonstrably incorrect information about web fonts, hinting, etc. is rather astonishing. Choose your pundits wisely…
  9. @marksimonson Aha, thanks. I guess it won't be this week since Adam and Yuri are introducing Fonts 2.0 (!?). http://bit.ly/1hGat4
  10. I wonder if the new FontLab will be released this week. I've forgotten what Yuri said about the timeline for that when he spoke at Robothon.
  11. @nicewebtype I sent you a response via email. Please let me know if you didn't get it.
  12. I think that some people on www-font are more interested in arguing and being "right" than they are in moving the web forward. Ugh.
  13. @mozhacks Thank you for posting it! I'm really excited to see typography being taken so seriously.
  14. Another big font announcement from Mozilla, plans for feature controls: http://bit.ly/2jmUNk Important and exciting stuff!
