  6. @JesseStay prbly not their DB. They likely chngd the person's email just like they mentioned in the blog you lnkd to then requested a new PW
  7. @JesseStay then that hash is compared to the encrypted hash they have in the DB If it matches you have authentication Thats how most do it
  8. @JesseStay Highly doubt it. They store them encrypted. When you send them teh PW in plain text it is converted through mD5 or some means....

  11. @twittergator Yes When you send them the unencryptd PW they encrypt it and check its hash agnst the hash they have in the DB to authenticate
  12. @0boy they gain the ability to spam all of their followers. For accounts with thousands of followers, that's a big deal.

  15. @twittergator Yes you are correct. The twitterAPI requires the user's pw and if you store a user's password unencrypted you cannot decrypt
