  1. Cooking some quinoa, asparagus and salmon salad for lunch tomorrow. Delicious and antioxidant.
  2. Got to the pool tonight to see the sign "closed for repairs". They could have posted somewhere that I could see it before getting changed.
  3. My coach is evil. He created a spin/power workout alternating hard spin and leg weights for 90 min. Ouch.
  4. Today's workouts - lower body weights, 20 min run, short swim. It felt good to get back to the gym after the summer outside.
  5. @tridaddy Wow, I was hoping for at least 1 mph. Nice! I tried the Cervelo P2 and Scott Plasma 10 today. I can feel the speed!
  6. Going to test out some tri bikes at the LBS! I'm curious how much faster they will be than my road bike....
  7. Heading out for a run before breakfast. Has anyone read Born to Run? Great story. I'm thinking about easy, light, smooth, fast.
  8. First week back of workouts after vacation is a bit brutal... weeny weights and sore muscles, gasping for air at the end of swim sets...
  9. Getting back into workouts (slowly) after doing the Lake Stevens 70.3 two weeks ago. Enough post race laziness!
  10. Heading out for a run in new Salomon shoes. My theory: what could be more stable than trail running shoes? Pronation begone.
  11. Waiting for the car to be smog checked, then heading to the pool to cool off.
  12. A little late to work after a 23 mile bike ride this morning, but worth it for cool weather and no wind.
  13. @DeeYoung re: 100+ deg weather. When I got home, I thanked former self for upgrading the air conditioning system last year.
  14. Up at 5.30 am to beat the 107 degree heat forecasted for today. Hoping to get 50 miles in before it hits 90.
  15. Rehydrating and refocusing on healthy food after dinner party last night. I made some awesome parmesan shortbread appetizers.
  16. @evilflea re: sand in shoes. I discovered that while mountain biking in the desert last year, amazing how much gets in through mesh uppers.
  17. Heading out for the Saturday brick with my group, my first one since taking time off for sore shins. Ready to run!
  18. Heading down to Wildflower for a training weekend. Lynch Hill, here I come!
  19. @frozentriette It was awesome to see Michael Phelps in person! His team trained with the navy seals last week.
  20. Saw the amazing Michael Phelps speak about motivation today. His mantra: "Dream, plan and reach." Which one are you working on?
