  2. @SellPuts street estimates were too low (especially for EPS, less so for revenue) - going into reporting, first call up revisions were huge

  4. 80% of S&P500 companies have rpoerted Q3 profits above forecast - highest pct since SP began keeping data (440 of 500 have reported Q3)
  5. @daytrend seems fairly obvious that the mkt will converge on the NAV when new shares are registered, or before if spread can be arbed $UUP
  6. spx earnings review/preview: 2007A:$83, 2008A:$50, 2009E:$52, 2010E:$75 -- the forward estimates are from $GS, top down
  7. @TraderKos gasoline prices plunged Q408, y/y gonna be up big in Dec - retailers will weave that (excuse) into their late year discussions

  9. @traderflorida lots of finnies will have kitchen sink 4th qtrs - $GS ranks relatively low on writedown risk, & capital mkt revs strong, fwiw
  10. @optionmonster public info shows shares outstanding, share creation trend and registered shares - savy trader may have guessed properly $UUP
  11. i waited 5 days before setting my watch back an hour - gave me no discernable trading edge - onto the next experiment
  12. @TraderKos october kind of inconsequential generally - sandwiched between back to school and holiday shopping
  13. @upsidetrader A/D did not improve on the 1065 test = divergence, with you in principal - good luck on shorts
  14. just sayin', $UNG traded at 19% premium to NAV back in August, reverted back to NAV when shares issued, this is worth considering - be smart
  15. folks, the NAV on $UUP is 22.46, if you got the windfall (cuz you long), consider the fact that the creation limit is temporary (S-3 filed)
  16. yup, my first impression was accurate - $UUP trading at large premium to intraday NAV, at the moment
  17. @SellPuts filed a short 8-K - intraday NAV is 22.46 (per bloomberg) - might see a little premium when it re-opens (guessing) $UUP
  18. $UUP filed a registration statement to expand shares outstanding - until effective, no new shares (trades are premium to NAV?)
  19. $UUP halts issuance of new shares
  20. @SellPuts $UUP still smallish by ETF standards, but shares outstanding up 500% in past few months
