  1. @MoneyMunot dude, i don't think retweeting a virus link is the smartest move...
  2. @ghassanb fine, all those things too :)
  3. @alexlobov @ghassanb guys, this is becoming retarded. do this over chat / email.
  4. How do you get a crane down from the 160th floor? With extreme difficulty, and a series of smaller cranes: http://bit.ly/VlpFs
  5. Today on Crane Country: Jumeirah PR correct the misperception that the Burj al Arab is a 7-star hotel http://tinyurl.com/yj7z5ao
  6. @Liallena Heh. Perhaps we can run an Ask Lia colum to counter it?
  7. Interesting: Abu Dhabi requires foreign, non-muslim school teachers to wear abaya and headscarves: http://tinyurl.com/yfh8lrr
  8. Ironically, given today's discussions, I'm about to do something I've never done before and pay Google money for their service.
  9. @binmugahid yeah, i like little tiny payments. but remember that apple is targeting the pay-happy 5% of the mobile market.
  10. @binmugahid as biggie said, the streets is a short stop, either you sling crack rock or you got a wicked jump shot. gotta make the dollars
  11. @binmugahid media companies need to work out how to deliver an insanely good product to the 5% of customers who will pay for something
  12. @binmugahid as much of an epic man of history as you are, when you load up a national webpage, you make us maybe a cent. on a good day :)
  13. @binmugahid that is the whole point. 95% of customers (ie you) will never pay for anything or be very monetisable as online readers.
  14. @thelostdot heh - I love that they think liberalism is this spreading disease. how sophisticated of them...
  15. @WeirdWeb and clearly the FT is suffering greatly for no longer being part of the conversation...
  16. The smart move re: Google News? Maybe block access to stories for the first few days. Once they are archived, let Google index them.
  17. @WeirdWeb good analogy - when's the last time you looked on a street map to find out where the mall is?
  18. @njashanmal mobile operators are the elephant in the room, especially here. and whoever can monopolise e-readers will be in a happy place.
  19. @DarkRangerN media co.s need deep, meaningful relationships with customers, not one-off google clicks. thats why publishers hate google news
  20. @DarkRangerN people will pay for some stuff, people will be sponsored for other stuff, some will be free, some will need registration etc
