  1. Is loving that fact that nbgit plugin more or less gives me git diff capabilities back to netbeans. Thanks Jonas and Alex!
  2. First landing of some fast Array-specific enumerable operations (we do it under the covers..sneaky) in JRuby which is 25%+ perf gain
  3. @neilhimself I was in Krakow Poland this summer and thought it was quite nice. Locals took me out too which always makes the trip better.
  4. Woot! JRuby 1.4.0 is out. Three RCs to make sure all is well. Please download and enjoy: http://www.jruby.org/download
  5. Last tweet was meant as an appeal to nonwindows users. Not implying there are no windows users. If that was true we wouldn't have had a RC3
  6. JRuby 1.4.0RC3 is out! Mostly windows fixes, but please try it out anyways. Best Release Ever: http://www.jruby.org/download
  7. @michal_hantl: I can build one and put it up in the files section. And tag it too. I suspect NB has build in it somewhere...
  8. Trying to learn more about install4j customization today. Our new windows installer needs more POWA!
  9. JRuby 1.4.0RC2 is now out (with bonus windows native launcher!). Beat on that thing and report back: http://www.jruby.org/download
  10. @olabini and not Minneapolis? JRuby-central. Delta/NWA hub.
  11. @jrmehle Apparently from comments on blog some people use the feature too...File it under obscure but sometimes useful.
  12. I have new blog entry on the engine yard blog: http://bit.ly/33gGLA. Anyone else have any strange Ruby to share?
  13. @jpzwarte Actually now I am thinking we need to change coercion logic for this usecase in jruby. 253 does fit in 8 bits and Java allows it.
  14. @jpzwarte This is a bug in image_voodoo. I will fix this soon. JRuby 1.4 complains when you exceed numeric type boundaries.
  15. JRuby 1.4.0RC1 and ActiveRecord-JDBC 0.9.2 have just been released into the wild. Get them and love them: http://www.jruby.org/
  16. Holy crap...205 issues fixed between 1.3.1 and 1.4.0RC1. A little longer release cycle but we got more done than we thought...
  17. Mind is swimming with the all install4j options there are available...One major bonus is pruning out unused native libs from each installer!
  18. RT @engineyard JRubyConf Announcement time! Full schedule announced + more tickets available! Check out the blog post! http://bit.ly/2EGp8K
  19. RT: @fwierzbicki: Jython 2.5.1 Final is finally out - yay! http://is.gd/3HnLQ
  20. surlyfest at common roots with @iffius and @valerie_maher
