  1. 4 miles this morning in the pouring rain. Think that's how it'll be from now on *sigh*.
  2. First personal training session for a fortnight at the crack of dawn. Oh boy will I be in pain tomorrow. Pain, gain, etc. :)

  4. Watched NYC marathon on Sunday. Best inspiration EVER to train in earnest for London in April.

  6. Seriously toying with the idea of tweeting what I eat. Quite a public way of ensuring that you don't get stuck into the lard. Hmmm ...
  7. Eating turkey salad and drinking water when really I'd rather be having chips and Guinness on a day like today, frankly!
  8. Recovering from Sunday's 6.5 miles. The run didn't, but the sting from the wasp that flew into my trainer did. That's accuracy for you!
  9. Had my first personal training session yesterday for three weeks. Today I'm walking like a geriatric robot and everything hurts. Ouch!
  10. Hooray! No back injury last night. 5 miles in 48 minutes, which isn't bad going. But I did have pasta in my dinner ... :(
  11. Will be running home tonight for the first time since May, when I screwed up my back. Feel weirdly superstitious about it, which is daft.
  12. Have been indulging terribly since arriving in Cornwall, but have stuck religiously to running schedule. 6 miles tomorrow, bring it on!
  13. Up with the lark and running along the coastal headland. Only 2 miles, but extremely hilly. Will compensate for pizza last night, I hope.
  14. Four and a half miles around Clapham this morning. The sunrise on the Common was breathtaking, crazy cyclists were life-threatening.
  15. Finally recovered from my mystery illness. Can't wait to get out for a run on the Common tonight.
  16. 6 miles on Sunday. Furthest distance to date. Went some way towards compensating for the lunch with my sister afterwards :)
  17. Nailed it in the gym this morning, even if I do say so myself. Can I go home to bed now?
  18. Four and a half miles this morning round the lovely Common. Well worth crawling out of bed for. Will NOT reward myself with lardy breakfast.
  19. Was warned I'd be in pain after kettleball training yesterday. So far, so good. Will be like a plank by lunchtime, probably.
  20. Had Fruit and Fibre instead of Bran Flakes this morning. Utterly revolting. Dried coconut in milk has the texture of skin. Ugh.
