  1. @thinkclay I've got the latest version of Simple machines forum running on my site... I think it's pretty impressive for free software.
  2. I need some members for my forum: http://forum.timshomepage.net
  3. RT @CatalystMaker: Last giveaway of the day - a key for Dragon Age - I will pick a random RT of this message in a while... get going ca ...
  4. @CatalystMaker I remember that generation of Catalyst... glad the interface has improved. Stability seems to be a lot better, too.
  5. RT @CatalystMaker: Free game madness begins NOW - RT Catalyst Rocks for a chance to win, Demigod, Dirt2 or Dragon Age keys!
  6. My web server is back online... I think I lost 1 file... could be worse. Things seem to be faster now, which is nice.
  7. And now the wait... compiling a kernel takes a while.
  8. @thinkclay Man, that SSD is FAST!!!
  9. @thinkclay I decided to use the small disks as a striped swap instead, so /etc is with OS
  10. @thinkclay Because I don't want to have to redo the server config. I'd probably copy the two most important files and redo anyway.
  11. @thinkclay here's what I'm thinking: sda1 = OS, sda2 = mirrored drives for /etc, sda3 = webroot (SSD)
  12. @thinkclay I'm thinking about data protection, not performance so I can just reinstall OS in the future, rather than recover files.
  13. @thinkclay conf? You mean my config files? Most of those are under the /etc dir, so I'm mirroring that on two small drives.
  14. @thinkclay So I get to redo my web server tonight. I'm splitting my web directory, /etc, and the rest onto different drives. Good idea?
  15. @thinkclay It would be nice if the @usernames actually referenced another person without using additional characters.
  16. @thinkclay isn't it weird how the re-tweets work now? It's odd seeing people pop up on your timeline that you don't follow.
  17. @dantheshive The emotion in the last panel is amazing...it looks like if he were any angrier he'd rip his skin.
  18. #Facebook was better before Farmville and all the other annoying apps.
  19. @thinkclay I'm using it for web storage, which is fairly low write, because I'm tired of dealing with failing drives. 1 is too many.
  20. @thinkclay My web server HDD is dying... so I'm going to replace it with an SSD. I sure hope it's worth the $130.
