  1. Like many other OU people, working from home today. Or possibly from a cafe in CMK with better heating ;-)
  2. I turned down the heating while away, so my flat is now 11.7C. Thanks R&S for the Christmas present (thermometer) so I know how cold I am.
  3. I (an perhaps more significantly my liver) survived another Somerset Invitation tiddlywinks tournament. Thanks Stew.
  4. For bus times in Milton Keynes (especially on a bank holiday!) use http://www.travelinesoutheast.org.uk/ rather than the one Google finds.
  5. I managed to win my last game, so I finished on 4/7 at the London Open and got a certificate. http://is.gd/5HM5N
  6. Have struggled to 3 wins out of 6 at the London Open Go Tournament. A fine event as ever. Thanks to Geoff Kaniuk et al. http://is.gd/5GTqY
  7. Sherlock Holmes film has some great moments, but overall is no more than entertaining drivel. Don't go if you are a Holmes purist.
  8. Merry Christmas. I hope you are surrounded by loved ones today.
  9. git is so cool. Just merged the series of things I did at home yesterday into what I'm in the middle of here in no time. http://git-scm.com/
  10. I actually got too warm cycling to work. And whatever the drivers say, this snow is pretty, I like it!
  11. It's the first time I have got my own Christmas tree. http://yfrog.com/1yeytnj
  12. Am liking my new Moodle question engine. Today I wrote a new, tricky, interaction model that I had thought would take two days+. Was easy.
  13. This morning I finally used up my free 1GB on Picassa, and had to start paying a tiny amount for an extra 20GB. That should last a while.
  14. @mweller don't you have permission to sudo rm them? (Do you speak unix command line?)
  15. @liamgh but if your code is in version control, nothing is ever really deleted. Think of it as allowing it to retire gracefully.
  16. Most of the core Q types (truefalse, multichoice, shortanswer, numerical, matching, essay, description and random) now work with the new API
  17. My Moodle question engine rewrite has now passed 700 unit tests, I think the next step is to convert the quiz module to use the new library.
  18. At today's OpenCETL conference I heard about lots of cool eAssessment things we are doing. Compensates for OU big-institution-ness pain.
  19. @ulcc How many places at #mootuk10? when do we need to start worrying about missing out? Also, when will you be asking for talk proposals?
  20. Oh, and that does not include the things I forgot. Thank goodness Helen was taking proper notes. http://is.gd/5lSd9. #moodledev09
