  1. @vvuk yeah, it's the dumbest thing ever
  2. @insunlight GIBLETS IS YOUR CO-KITTEN
  3. I have been dealt such an interesting hand. Now to figure out how the heck to play it...
  4. @evanhr that is terrific! (re: teaching)
  5. @JohnGasaway as a Duke and ACC fan, I can say that the (one night) return of Wonk almost makes the otherwise putrid evening worthwhile.
  6. @joeshaw I can take my old Walkman and read a credit card? really? (that said, w/itouch it looks like a killer device for small stores)
  7. @jfleck Cool! I read that and recommended it to someone else without even noticing the byline...
  8. @wingeddangerous this reminds me that I need to pick PT's brain about brining; we have done it once and would like to do it again next year.
  9. @fros1y I don't think of it as 'the era of third place', I think of it as 'the era in which I can no longer say 'just google luis''. :)
  10. @lathiat yeah, for daniel stone too- you aussies aren't caught up with the rest of the world, as usual. ;)
  11. Google seems to have finally come to their senses and demoted me from the #1 result for Luis. An improbably weird era has come to an end.
  12. @thomasvs I am now even more amused that I saw an LPQ in Paris with a line out the door, out into the street.
  13. @thomasvs wait, wait, what? le pain quotidien is belgian? all my illusions are shattered.
  14. @chrisblizzard are you there in pajamas?
  15. @jonlech hrm, not on the brand new snow leopard box my mother-in-law just bought? possibly an edge case, since it was finder using it?
  16. relieved that OS/X's 'can't unmount because something is using this volume' error message is exactly as useless as GNOME's.
  17. @ywwg apple's lack of options can be maddening, but dell's insanity in the other direction is outright bad for their business, IMHO
  18. @rlove sadly, many of the students at CLS had more style/party aptitude than brains ;)
  19. Dell's product line and website could sure use a few lessons from Apple in terms of clarity, simplicity, etc.
  20. @rlove You should have been more specific- not 'cool kids' but 'kids who think they are cool because they live in a well-isolated bubble'
