My grandparents were married 58 years. We're only starting to get an idea of how lonely my grandfather will be.

My grandmother passed this morning. I'll miss her more than I know how to say.

Minor breakdown. Cousin pulled me out to get some rest. Took me to Denver.

The hospice nurse won't give us a timeline, but I can't imagine it will be that much longer

Bears knocked over the garbage last night. Boy, I missed living near the mountains.

Current wildlife on my grandparents back porch a herd(?) of blue jays who keep running into things — like the door.

Drove my dad's SUV to run an errand. HUUUGE. Feels 3 times the size of the Prius.

Finally getting a chance to read through some comments on recent posts. I seem to have ofended some librarians... didn't mean to.

So far this week there's been about 10 squirrels on the back patio, as well as a 8 point buck.

My grandfather thinks we're plotting against him to force him to get a CNA for my grandmother...

Got my husband back on the road to MD this morning. I'll be in CO until the end of next week.

It's hard to be grateful for the help hospice care provides.
