  1. Watch for rains on the coast this week to bring in some winter steelhead. The rivers have been low and cold and need the water.
  2. The Bull Trout fishing has been decent on the Met. and the Crooked has been fishing well with midges and BWO's bringing fish to hand.
  3. The weather is breaking. It won't be warm, but warm enough. Mid to upper 30's, fish have been rested. Slow and low with your flies!
  4. Watch for a warm day or two and the Deschutes could be great. The coastal rivers are starting to see winter steelhead, with more coming!!
  5. Frigid temps have set in all around Central Oregon. Look for it to break by this weekend. Fish should be rested and in the mood.
  6. December is off and running with good fishing today. Fish were a little hesitant early in the day, probably the cold and big moon.
  7. The river fog has been thick the last couple of days. It's having a hard time burning off today. It feels cold out there in that moist air
  8. Tough swingin up steel the last couple days, but nymph tactics have taken multiple fish. Hard choice to make when you like feelin the take!
  9. The river conditions are holding strong. The water is around 50 degrees and the clarity is good.
  10. A bit of river fog this morning. Should be a comfortable day, near 50 and mostly sunny. The late day bite has been good on warmer days.
  11. Definately some brighter fish being caught. This is typical for this time of the year. Just some later fish pushing in. Come and get 'em.
  12. There was only two boats drifting Warm Springs to Trout Creek on Wed. Not much pressure was good for the fishing. Cover water and find'em!
  13. We are reaping the benefits of good smolt out migration and ocean conditons. Lots of Chinooks and Steelhead have been seen while drifting.
  14. The afternoon bite has been good recently. The warmer afternoon temps help spur activity. A degree or two increase in water temp helps.
  15. It's been tough to tell just what's happening. Had four reliable sources on the river yesterday, 2 had great success, 2 came up empty. ????
  16. Talked to several bank anglers who came up empty. Covering water is much tougher walking, keep moving, don't count on one spot producing.
  17. We had two anglers float yesteterday and they hooked a dozen steelhead, 6 swinging tips and 6 nymphing. Good "bright" fish for Nov.!!!
  18. Turning out to be a nice day in Warm Springs. We have a few guys out, can't wait to hear how they did. Not many anglers coming in.
  19. It was a bit warmer today in Warm Springs. Only talked to a couple anglers, but each hooked a fish this morning.
  20. The weather has been nice today and the river is in great shape. We should have great fishing over the next month, watch for warmer days!
