  1. The Draft is in our rearview mirror now, so tune back in in a few months for our not-at-training-camp updates.
  2. Thing we learned drinking poolside with Kevin Lowe: a shot of Absolut Citron + a shot of limoncello is not the same as a shot of lemon juice
  3. Ran into Jeff Carter in hallway. Said of Pronger deal: "Well, we just want to keep shooting and having fun and hope it keeps working."
  4. Wearing pajamas, stitching, and listening to music. Would have been doing this in Montreal, but haven't bumped into Gary Bettman yet.
  5. Round 7 of the draft has proved to be too boring even for us to watch. All those future Zetterbergs are going to have to go it alone.
  6. Slept through the continental breakfast buffet. Consequently didn't get to nosh with Stan Mikita.
  7. Another year, another first round. We did not meet any of this year's picks in the elevator. Maybe we'll meet a later-round kid, though.
  8. We don't have to be in Montreal to know that Pierre's obsession with Zach Parise gets bigger and scarier with every passing day.
  9. SHOUT OUT! SHOUT OUT! We think TSN just said the Caps should have drafted us! (Thank GOD they didn't. *Shudder*)
  10. Devils trade up! How exciting! Wait, they didn't trade up to draft Vinny Lecavalier from TB. That's less exciting.
  11. Pookie reminds Schnookie that Meg told us Gionta is good. So we guess it's a wash between attending and not attending.
  12. How is not attending the draft better than attending it? No one has told us tonight how good Brian Gionta is.
  13. @patty_in_dallas You're right, the Draft wasn't boring in person. The company at the Draft in person was boring. You classless beeyotch!
  14. The NHL Draft in person? Boring. The NHL Draft on television? Also boring. Shocking.
  15. Found our seats at the Molson Centre. Sitting next to Looch! He got some tasty looking oil cans from the concession stand in section 214.
  16. Breaking news: we have not drafted an NHL prospect. Nor have we ourselves been drafted. Just wanted to quell those rumors.
  17. Had planned to go to the Botanical Garden in Montreal. Instead went to the Botanical Garden here. Saw either Bill Daly or a bunny.
  18. Paul Holmgren, on the other hand, did just try to trade down with us.
  19. Brian Burke just did not try to trade up in the draft with us.
  20. Farm field was muddy. Schn was submerged up to her ankles in mud. NHL notable we spotted there? Gionta, submerged to his shoulders.
