  1. I do need to write my reviews of Pike Brewing in the Pike Place market. I have been slacking on that. It would help if I weren't so busy.
  2. @hollyhoffman Winston was a results guy period. That was why he liked Monty. Monty delivered results.
  3. Always loved hanging out in the Füschen in the altstadt in Düsseldorf. Good hearty German food and Altbier.
  4. Having an Alaska Amber. Like this beer since it is the only Düsseldorf style alt beer brewed in America. Reminds me of the Füschen
  5. It's good to have Charlie Finkle back at Pike Place Brewing.
  6. After that will be a review of Pike Place Monkey's Uncle Triple. A great Belgian Trippel style ale.
  7. Next beer to review is the Pike Place Wood Aged Stout. A yummy, hoppy, dry stout. And it's aged in wood barrels which is rare.
  8. Support all of those cool English Castles and buy a bottle.
  9. I just had Wassail Ale from Ballard's Brewing in the UK. It's for English Heritage and their charity. http://starturl.com/yfngt
  10. What I want to see is a good Düsseldorf style Alt beer. One that is copper red with malty sweetness. Surprised Baron isn't doing one.
  11. Baron's Rauchbeer is a delightful surprise to me. Good seeing some of the German beer styles being brewed.
  12. Baron's Rauchbier: http://bit.ly/dUmfJ
  13. Next gotta write up about Baron Beers. I do happen to be acquainted with one of the brewmasters. I should stop by and say hi to him.
  14. Gotta love the job of reviewing beers :-)
  15. Double Dead Guy Ale: http://bit.ly/38tz12
  16. And the sign in the pix means "Good Burp".
  17. Chilling the Double Dead Guy Ale and Wassail Ale from Wells (UK) for tonight's enjoyment.
  18. Now there is a fundraiser. Beers, Wine and Gin for the historical sights.
  19. My friend Angus, who gave it to me, said it was the only bottle he knew of in the US.
  20. The other Beer I will review is Wassail, which is from Wells for English Heritage. I have never seen it before.
