  1. Pulling the QA department into tight 1-week iterations. Never thought I'd say it, but QA is really valuable! Esp. with 2% test coverage :P
  2. @unclebobmartin In http://lurl.no/im you're increasing readability with setters at the price of mutability -> Fail. Prefer Builder pattern.
  3. @cutthroat more work?
  4. @unclebobmartin How about the builder pattern? Then you get expressive construction and can still have immutable objects: http://lurl.no/ij
  5. Wtf @unclebobmartin prefers empty constructors+setters in his #ndc2009 Clean Code talk? Immutable obj. > unreadable constructors imho.
  6. @karolikl Welcome to the blogosphere! Remember: pick a schedule and stick to it: http://lurl.no/i9
  7. Considering vegetarianism after watching www.earthlings.com - heavy stuff...
  8. Hoo-ray, we just got a TANDBERG MXP 880! For those long-distance calls ;)
  9. Listening to http://twurl.nl/fl4dhp #NDC09 - @mfeathers: Working Effectively with the Legacy Code, via @anderssv
  10. Of course, no criticism goes uncriticized (debunking the Zeitgeist theories): http://lurl.no/hX
  11. Just watched www.zeitgeistmovie.com - Interesting stuff, juicy conspiracy theories. Rhymes with "Money as Debt". Hmmmm!
  12. Our CI environment is starting to look like something! 16 cores/4 servers. Also: aut. nightly deployment + weekly (stable) deployment.
  13. Democracy vs daily scrum: Only 1 *against*. We will try cutting down to 2x/week (Mon+Fri), plus some other adjustments. Thanks, tweeps :)
  14. @dagfinnr Based on opinions of smart and experienced colleagues. No other measure. Too much chaos to measure velocity, unfortunately.
  15. @Wineyard @poeticpixels Ref fighting for more agile: I didn't sell scrum hard enough from the start, and now I'm paying for that, imo.
  16. @olvemaudal Anyhoo, I think a slightly dysfunctional standup meeting is better than no standup at all.
  17. @olvemaudal It is a bit status'ish, yes, but #1 problem is that it's too big (18 ppl). But mgmt still won't split us into sub-teams.
  18. @Wineyard I'm fighting a democracy of introvert developers who see little value in communicating when they can just get things done alone.
  19. Can't believe I have to fight for the right to keep daily standup meeting... #scrumfail
  20. German web-design: http://www.webmaster-4you.de/ (funny! Still not sure whether it is serious)
