@ I agree, usually dups go supp. But, I just lost an indexed page that ranked 1st for 6 mo. Received warning in webmaster tools.

Time to test dup content on competitors. Webmaster tools gives you 3 or 4 months of warning to fix canonicals. Enter multivariate testing.

Not all sites are treated equally for dup content. It's more complex than stating it's all or none. Many big sites syndicate w/o penalty.
