  1. The Lapsong Chai @townshendstea is Extremely good! One of my new favorite PDX chais #pdxeats http://twitpic.com/iysxi
  2. Had a matcha smoothie today at the Tao of Tea, wasn't bad, but didn't knock my socks off. Had a TON of ice in it though.
  3. @fangtea I was pretty shocked. They probably had no idea what it was...
  4. @jasonwitt Looks like 1 of the pots didn't go with the set. Will have to figure out if it's indeed purple clay.
  5. Garage sale find. Nice yxing set and 2nd pot for $10. Never been used. http://yfrog.com/0kxeoj
  6. Finding more success with the Keemun, shorter brewing times make for a happier cup. Less bitter and more balanced.
  7. Making some nice iced roast barley tea. A fantastic treat for this hot summer day.
  8. RT @sipteaIf you want a stronger cup of #tea, increase the amount of leaf, not the steeping time. That will give you a bitter & strong cuppa.
  9. Very excited about my new tiny teapot from t-ching. Just LOVE it. http://yfrog.com/17zrkj
  10. @LePalaisGourmet like I said, the taste is sublime. A tea like that would typically have qi. I did this tasting with another tea mstr btw
  11. @joiedetea Stephanie is amazing. I admire her work and her writing.
  12. @TeaHub their tea is superb in every other way, it was surprising that it lacked any Qi. If it had... it would be worth 2x the price.
  13. @DiscoverTea May your recovery been swift and easy.
  14. @DiscoverTea it's what's in the cup that counts :)
  15. Another good article on Cha Qi: http://bit.ly/kdEgw
  16. @DiscoverTea I've shared tea w/ a group of people and each could individually acknowledge the specific qi in a tea. It doesn't take a master
  17. @joiedetea could be growing conditions or area, storage, handling, source of tea. Qi is an elusive thing but extremely palpable.
  18. @LePalaisGourmet yeah, well those aren't my toes :) From a culinary perspective I'd think it's harder to find a finer pu er.
  19. @LePalaisGourmet while I am not a tea master, I am schooled in Qi of tea. I'd recommend going to @teahabitat for 1 of their tastings w/ Imen
  20. @LePalaisGourmet Here's an excellent article on Cha qi: http://bit.ly/8PGfw
