  1. @sabinehikel Would love to be there if I lived in Toronto! Have fun!
  2. I'm back in the lab.
  3. @jhabig My first quick look didn't come up with anything... it is a little outside of my field. Let me know if you want me to look again :)
  4. @jhabig Not off the top of my head. Let me have a look and get back to you. :)
  5. Kitchen Science Protocol: pie shell, 1 layer raspberries, pour on mixture: sour cream, sugar, flour, vanilla. 375, 1hr. Result: deliciouspie
  6. @sabinehikel - hi! I just came across your blog: Leaving Academia. Some great stuff - thanks for putting it out there :)
  7. @Gustavius Oh yes, he sure was. I was never as creeped out as when I read "Someone Like You"... gut wrenching psychological scariness.
  8. @onscrn Oh, that's a tough one. I find getting up and doing something for a while often helps fall asleep again. Camomile tea also helps.
  9. @keiramc I know - it is so satisfying to make your own food, isn't it?
  10. @keiramc Good luck! I'm looking forward to hearing how it goes :). Wisdom of Mom: 50:50 ratio of flour:semolina (or bias toward flour)
  11. @keiramc I guess I should mention too - I rolled it out into play-dough-like rolls, just thicker than my thumb, then cut into pieces
  12. @silviastraka Thank you for your kind words. :) I've very much enjoyed your thoughtful and detailed #FFs today.
  13. @onscrn :) Well, it sure is a good place to visit and get sympathy when you cannot sleep.
  14. @keiramc will you try the experiment?
  15. @keiramc My mum was following too-she said I might have had too wet of a dough. It made nice lumps though. I think cooking time is critical
  16. @onscrn Wonder if there's something going around - bad sleeps here last night too. Hope you get a better one tonight :)
  17. @Gustavius Ever read any of Roald Dahl's writing for adults? He wrote the creepiest short stories!
  18. I am completely fascinated by people who can hear a song and then learn to play it instantly. @pathways is learning a song while it plays.
  19. Science literacy fail: http://tinyurl.com/yekyzyl
  20. Unhealthy: our neighbourhood grocery store stocks more brands of processed cheese slices than it does types of cheese.
