  1. Rain from Hillsborough north could affect Temple Terrace, Dade City, Brooksville and Webster. They're moving off the Gulf.
  2. Those storms in the Gulf are heading here but moving very slowly so they'll take some time to reach us. NWS thinks more likely by afternoon.
  3. Thunderstorms about 60 miles in the Gulf are drifting toward shore. Some producing 1+ inches of rain per hour. Waterspouts possible offshore
  4. Not much rain chance today with dry air above us an inversion to cap any forming storms. Looks like rain comes back on Monday.
  5. Tropical wave near Africa getting better organized. NHC saying 30-50 percent chance will become tropical cyclone in 48 hours.
  6. NHC will probably name TS Danny as soon as the sun comes up to give them a good satellite view. No models show threat to Fla.
  7. For folks north of Tampa, NWS says some spots of dense fog from Citrus south into Hillsborough, including parts of I-75 until after sunrise.
  8. Looks like our next storm will form soon from a tropical wave as it nears the eastern Bahamas, maybe by Wednesday. NHC says 50+ % chance.
  9. Some extra moisture this PM will help pump up the thunderstorms across all of W. Central Fla. Look for some of those to be strong.
  10. The NWS says T-storms will move from the Gulf with 30 mph gusts through the morning. Most will be around S. Pinellas & S. Hillsborough.
  11. T-storms will be moving over coastal counties and spreading out through the P.M. Gusts up to 25 mph. They are slow movers so lots of rain.
  12. TD 2 should be TS Ana by Wednesday morning. Looks like it will hang around through Sunday but maybe not much longer. No danger to land, tho.
  13. Tropical wave near Cape Verde Islands is now 2nd TD, forecast to be season's 1st storm, possibly by Wednesday. 2 other waves worth watching.
  14. Now the NHC is watching 2 waves, the one near Africa and one just east of the Caribbean. The distant one has 30-50% chance, other 10-30%.
  15. Tropical wave off Africa could be our 1st storm. NHC gives it 30-50% chance to be a cyclone. Maybe TD by Tues. Still 4,000 miles from Fla.
  16. Heads up in N. Pinellas. NWS says severe T-storm heading toward Dunedin, Palm Harbor, Safety Harbor. Potential 60 mph winds. Moving @ 5 mph
  17. The tropical wave in the Atlantic the Hurricane Center was watching on Tuesday is no longer any concern. Nothing out there right now.
  18. T-storms off coast from Hudson to Crystal River moving to NE & over land. Heaviest heading toward Hernando coast.
  19. A tropical wave the hurricane center is watching a couple hundred miles SW of the Cape Verdes is the first Atlantic wave to catch their eye.
  20. Mary from Crystal Beach called to say she has seen funnel clouds in group of T-storms offshore of Tarpon Springs and heading east.
