  1. @imneverfull when is the pasta throwdown?
  2. RT @cecil: ranch 99 not too impressive. Great location but almost everything on the shelves is 2x the cost of HK and co. cali prices?
  3. Missed #bvtd, but on a bright side - I am in Osaka!
  4. RT @alisoncook: New on Cook's Tour: Caswell shuffles his chefs at Stella Sola http://is.gd/4Qmfq
  5. @houston_foodie I didn't like boudin at Don's much. You?
  6. @ChefScottB Going to the Korean part of Osaka soon. Sounds like having Korean BBQ there would be in order. Problem is my wife is vegan:)
  7. @ChefScottB Yes, on Saturday. Super nice guy!
  8. @mhark going to the sportsman?
  9. Considering this is a direct flight from Houston, it's hard to justify traveling to eat at any price level anywhere else. I am coming back.
  10. Around the corner from Ristorante Massa is completely random place with a Vera Napoletana Pizza certification. Tokyo is just mind blowing.
  11. Thanks to @ChefScottB for setting this up. Truly a great meal.
  12. Bizarre thing was that the meal cost about $100 per person with wine. Japanese restaurants and chefs are so impressive it's scary.
  13. Sampled my friends lamb and it was right up there with Manresa, Sportsman and Noma as best lamb dishes I've had.
  14. My pasta with abalone was best I had anywhere, including Quince in SF. Perfectly cooked Japanese beef with bursts of flavor as you bit down.
  15. Truly outstanding dinner at Ristorante Massa in Tokyo last night. Standout dishes: stuffed tomato salad, lobster and wheat salad...
  16. @foodieguide Are you going to the tuna auction? I'm heading out to Osaka/Kyoto tomorrow, then back to Tokyo to hang out with Obama.
  17. @foodieguide Nice. I was at Ueno myselt today. Going back next Sunday to buy ceramics at the market.
  18. Can't wait to return to Noma. Top 3 meals of ' 09 RT @dcberan: Good meals at noma & kong Hans. I'd say copenhagen was pretty awesome..
  19. @onokinegrindz somehow completely missed those. now i have to go back...
  20. Few things from Sadaharu Aoki in Tokyo. Very nice. Right up there with Pierre Herme. http://yfrog.com/3ofcfrj
