  1. @jo Interesting. I've always taken my laptop out at OAK and SFO, no one's said anything. It's definitely required at all other airports
  2. @jo Never been to an airport with a different policy? It's always been out of bag, in separate bin. It's mandated by the TSA I think
  3. Just got (another) #Twitter spam, which helps confirm that it's all Twitter is really good for. Why isn't everyone using #identi.ca yet?
  4. @jo What problem are you having? I've been getting some weird timeout error with kipi-plugins. It times out, but image uploads successfully
  5. Culture of Wall St megabonuses & inflated salaries helped create economic crash of 2008. Who'd have thunk!? http://is.gd/54tV1
  6. Made pumpkin-puree triple-chocolate brownies, topped w/New Mexico pecans. Low fat, high fiber & protein, and an ungodly amount of chocolate
  7. @jbctech Yes, pretty much. I've been bittin by a lot of weird Ubuntu/Kubuntu-only issues that other distributions happen to avoid
  8. Does anyone else keep a library of good "avatar"/"profile" photos and rotate between them? I may take personal brand building too seriously
  9. @jbctech I.e. no "releases", just a rolling, moving target that's stable & recent. Many would think this terrible but I think it's great
  10. @jbctech You end up w/a bad mix of buggy software & old software, and having to deal with old bugs... I like the model of Debian testing
  11. @jbctech I'm sick of the time-based releases with Ubuntu (same problem exists with Fedora, etc).
  12. @jbctech Yes, been using #Kubuntu on my laptop since 2006. I'm planning on ditching it for #Debian sometime soon, though
  13. @ivangonekrazy That's actually why I did call it the "poor man's" version. Also. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is MUCH raunchier
  14. @jbctech Cancelled Amazon order, and bought the drive from ZipZoomFly.com (which has them in stock right now). Worth paying $10 more
  15. #Newegg has the low-power 2 TB #Seagate LP disks for $140. Bought two, makes a great Linux RAID 10 setup
  16. Watching the show It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Reasonably funny. Seems like the poor man's version of Seinfeld
  17. Western Digital Velociraptor SMART bug after 49 days. "Enterprise" drive, sure... http://is.gd/50YQn
  18. Installed the updated Google Maps Navigation on my G1. Quite cool, but unfortunately also quite slow... !Android
  19. #Toyota, the new Ford or Firestone? Complicated systems in Toyota's cars may make control difficult at high-speeds http://is.gd/52h03
  20. Wish #Opera made it easy to download the #Qt 4 version. Their site sucks; I always have to end up hunting the Internet for links !KDE
