  1. Unbelievably genius press conference from Tom Waits: http://www.youtube.com/watc...
  2. @techmeetup @tehjoejag @HtotheP @ijonas Ramp to Saltire Centre is closed tonight, but there will be helpers guiding people round the back.
  3. Holy crap, @tehjoejag 's article on Java has got to the front page on Reddit! Nice one, Joe.
  4. @techmeetup @HtotheP @tehjoejag Do you know that some of the entries to the Saltire Centre are closed from 4pm today and tomorrow?
  5. @mathie It happens to the best of us. Try not to let it push you off course. Hope your day gets better!
  6. @JohnONolan Yes, thank goodness for that. Take a look at what Cave put up on their website to deal with these people: http://bit.ly/7Y3wh9
  7. @PissedOffPR 40 releases before tomorrow morning? That's *insane*. I hope you told them that's not going to happen! :)
  8. @JohnONolan How about those clients that are really charismatic, but mess with deadlines and/or won't pay? Or have you not encountered them?
  9. Awesome stuff: RT @zeldman On Self-Promotion http://bit.ly/8ShT12
  10. @adambair I've actually just finished working on an app that force quits me out of my computer at 7.30pm and won't let me back on until 8am!
  11. @adambair Yes, I'm the same. So long as I've had a decent sleep, getting up and working in the morning is really good for me.
  12. @hotdogsladies True, as long as you don't do what I do and think everyone thinks this about you all the time!
  13. @matthewlang Especially when you're a freelancer dealing with clients. I've some horrible client experiences which is why this rang so true.
  14. A really nice way of filtering out nightmare clients. http://bit.ly/7Y3wh9 Very funny. Nice one, Cave Media!
  15. @beep That sounds like it was fantastic. I wish I could have been there. Sigh. #deadjealous
  16. RT @mikebutcher @rebeccats:The business case for women in tech http://bit.ly/5ZYJEt Sorry - forgot attribution. Thanks @HtotheP

  18. @HtotheP Excellent stuff. Thanks for the RT. I'm reading through the full report. Positive Workplace is a big one - as discussed.
  19. @beng But "amazing" can also refer to how one feels, even when something expected occurs. However, I overuse this word all the time. :)
  20. @damon Yes, I think so. My flatmate uses a pretty old Mac mini and has a bog standard 17" PC VGA monitor and it works fine.
