  9. SPD has such a great command of local dialogue, slang, and speech. Real treat for Phoenicians in the audience!
  10. SPD is making sure we're updated in young adult slang -- haters, hoes, etc. She says you learn a ton from teaching kids... Guess so! Haha!
  11. Stella Pope Duarte has taken the stage! She's not a big fan of NYC but she admits she loves eavesdropping whe walking around the city!
  12. Ladies, never opt out of wearing underwear under pantyhose bc it's too hot, esp if an author knows - s/he will write about it. Lopez did!
  13. Hilarious (partly auto-biographical!) embarrassing stories about naïve young adults growing up in Phoenix from the fourth-gen Phoenician!
  14. Annie Lopez is next up. She's not only a writer but also an accomplished photographer. You can see her work at the Phoenix Art Museum.
  15. They don't make nicknames like they used to -- can you imagine living with the name 'Pigleg Wilson'?
  16. Rita Ackerman, writer who focuses on tales of the Wild West, has taken the stage. She's reading from a narrative about the OK Corral.
  17. Just announced this upcoming issue will feature an interview with Ron Carlson! Yeah!!!
  18. Intern Samantha Novak is introducing the readers and Trish Murphy, our Editor-in-Chief. Trish is giving a run-down on what SR is about.
  19. The chairs are all set up and everyone's getting settled in. Met Stella Pope Duarte just now, really gracious writer! Excited to begin!
