@ Might be different to UK, but kindle from US was 200 CHF. Local Sony (with possible German OS) was 400.

@ Sony is maybe more compatible with epub formats, but I don't think it has equivalent store. Also, it was twice the price here.

@ The Kindle store is built into the device, you don't need anything else. Delivery of books is by ATT int mobile network, no charge

@ Got int. ver from amzn.com last month, mostly reading the Indy which is e-delivered every morning. New fm adds native pdf support.
