  1. At Jill's in Richmond for the night, after visiting with the newest nephew and family in Baltimore
  2. Stopping for gas at Fredricksburg
  3. Coming into Breezewood for lunch
  4. Support team (mom, wife, kid #2) picked me up about an hour ago, now we're back and I'm (cue SNL James Brown voice) sittin' in da hot tub!
  5. One mile left, and it's aaaallllll downhill. :)
  6. http://twitpic.com/9tiah Y'see... That other sign came just befor this one...
  7. http://twitpic.com/9ti52 I've never been so happy to see this sign in my life...
  8. Ho... Lee... Mo... Lee... This... Hill... Bigger... Than... Last... One... <pant pant pant> May... Need... Life... Flight... To... R'ville.
  9. Just called in the calvary... Will be ending this ride in Reynoldsville, 11 miles/1 hour from here, with ~95 miles for the day.
  10. Great googly moogly! 322 out of Brookville is one long (up)hill! This is quickly turning into !fun. Likely calling for a pickup in ~10 mi.
  11. Ditching the cue sheet (which was crafted at this point for the novelty of riding thru Egypt, PA) and taking 322 towards Dubois.
  12. 81 miles, resting at the Brookville Citgo with a Chocolate Coconut Larabar and 32oz of orange Powerade, wondering what to do next...
  13. The pleasant mountain breeze of the last hour has grown into a full-fledged headwind. Argh.
  14. 74 miles (had *zero* signal for the last 30+), climbed last big hill (a mile-long thigh-buster), looking forward to a break in Brookville.
  15. Though I did indeed examine the elevation profile of this ride, I conveniently forgot about the .6-mi thigh-busting hill at 43 mi. Hoo-whee!
  16. 40 miles, "resting" at the Laurel Hill X-Cntry Ski Area in Allegheny Nat Forest (after climbing over Laurel Hill!) 4 words: hoe lee moe lee!
  17. Hallelujah!! Not 100yds from the trailhead in Ridgway is a True Value Hardware that had a compatible bolt for my shoe! I bought 6 of 'em. :)
  18. In Ridgway (no, there's no "e"), trail was wonderful. It seems that I have lost a cleat-screw, trapping my shoe on my pedal. How very odd.
  19. Just shy of 18 miles, hopping on the "Clarion - Little Toby Creek Trail" for the next 18 miles. Still a bit brisk out.
  20. Whew... So far, Harvey Run Road is a mile-long dirt hill. Could have stayed on 55mph PA-219, but prefer the birds to the semis, frankly...
