storageanarchy

  1. @storagebod understand your perspective, but Symm serves many uses, not all customers require/want the same SW (zSeries, iSeries, Open, etc)
  2. @storagebod Actually, it is spelled out in the ordering system. We started bundling things to make it less of an infinite Chinese menu.
  3. @NetApp You think you might remove the Slootman video from your Fan Page?
  4. @Vaughn_Stewart @Andrew_MacD Agreed. In the spirit of community, you'd hope that every person really only voted once, though. Else=Anarchy?
  5. @StorageMonkeys Odd: Votes for NetApp blogs are incrementing in lock step, about 1-2 every refresh-nobody else getting new votes. Stuffing?
  6. @stevedupe @3parfarley @HPStorageGuy then we'd all have nothing to talk about!! (uh-oh - I think I see where you're going with this...)
  7. @kcornwall @KellyLavin Agree 100%, & I disagree with the "old-school" work is #'s 1-2-3, life is #9...a great mgr taught me family first rly
  8. New blog post: http://tinyurl.com/n5lbdw - 2.016: ds8000 finally gets thin provisioning – for a fat price
  9. @3parfarley Yeah - I'd rather see drives come wrapped in Velcro so I can stick 'em "where-ever" safely...
  10. @stevedupe Nah, just infinitely more wasted storage (wait, that sounds too much like Toigo ;-) Now, if you DEDUPE it all, then maybe... BD
  11. @KellyLavin @kcornwall Choices vs. advancemt applies to men too; to some ppl w/l balance is a 2hr "family break" in evening then back 2 wrk
  12. @nigelpoulton Google Feedburner says I have 2347 total followers, 1321 via via Google Reader/Feedfetcher, 367 via FriendFeed, rest misc.
  13. RT @StorageMonkeys Vote now for the top vendor storage blogs: http://bit.ly/hdbML
  14. @NCorridanGregg That's awesome - thnks!
  15. @bwhyte well, I suspect 3PAR, Hitachi and HP might see things a little differently now.
  16. @bwhyte fair enough. Feelin' my oats a bit I guess. But it does change the competitive dynamics a bit, huh?
  17. @NCorridanGregg Ummm - my wife wants to know where he found such a thing. Sounds Scrumptious!!
  18. @3parfarley same with V-Max: you can pre-allocate a VP volume = FAT volume. All for no charge now. 3PAR=Overpriced For Thin!
  19. @pollypearson woot! Enjoy!
  20. @sfoskett I'll try to tone them down...Google doesn't allow size control in feed ads, and they weren't so ugly until just recently.
