  15. Q: Would a 7000architecture ever replace cloud storage? A: Cloud storage is an operational expense... not a capital expense.
  16. Note: Don likes the MySQL community as well... it's only gotten bigger and better since the initial selection 5 years ago.
  17. Q: Have you used other databases? A: Yes.. Postgres replication didn't fit the bill, Oracle is too expensive
  18. They also have lots of 10GbE gear.
  19. Q: Have you considered Infiniband for lower latency? A: The costs are high and not much experience with Infiniband.
  20. No hands on... the system just recovers.
