@ In fairness to the Satio, a) I was being a bit drastic with the update and b) it's easy to do a memory card backup, just in case

Also annoying about the Satio: all data is lost by default when you update the firmware. And there's no way to 'switch' data into the device

It doesn't say much for the Satio's (Sony Ericsson) App Store that the highlighted/recommended app is a £3 "Fartomatic" utility. Sigh.
