  1. @vangampelaere no good answer I'm afraid.. There are 3rd party editors by I haven't seen one that addresses this specifically
  2. @davidpae was wfh and forgot we had a mtg.. On my way now but will be way late.. Twitter is my only way to contact you from my phone??
  3. @jamiet maybe customization on your site? it's not like that out of the box
  4. @jamiet which version of the SharePoint wiki are you using? in the released version out of the box wiki pages don't have categories..
  5. @vangampelaere the next version of the SharePoint wiki has a dramatically improved experience for putting images in your page :)
  6. @jcmcintyre re: SharePoint 2010 wiki.. ;-)
  7. @davidpae oh snap
  8. @zacduncan yup.. unfortunately our answer for them is to use IE.. or replace the rich text control.. there are free 3rd party options..
  9. @zacduncan we opted against wiki syntax - we don't think it's accessible for most of our users.. not that HTML is! ;-)
  10. @danholme I had a correction to make to a post of yours on SP2010.. can you email me? kevin.davis@microsoft.com
  11. @reallyseth any chance you could point me to some of that? I'd like to avoid more confusion if possible
  12. @reallyseth we opted for a rich text editing experience rather than wiki syntax - we think it's more accessible for most people
  13. @zacduncan in SharePoint 2007 our rich text editor doesn't work at all in Firefox.. fixed in 2010 ;-)
  14. @ToniFrankola I'd be interested to hear more about your thoughts on the 2010 wikis.. mail me: kevin.davis@microsoft.com
  15. @ShareThePoint I'm on campus.. mail me for a time if you'd like - kevin.davis@microsoft.com warning: I'm crazy busy
  16. @danroot re: separating view and add permissions - we looked at it, but it would have been a ton of work to make sure it worked
  17. @ShareThePoint you linked to the CKS:EWE.. as far as I can tell that project has been abandoned
  18. #followfriday @davidpae - if only so you can see the snarky replies he makes to all my tweets! ;-)
  19. @sharethepoint that release was in july 2008..
  20. @sarahhaase re: dropping other wiki platforms - we've seen a bit of this, but it'll be a long time before we can say for sure
