  7. Palden Lhamo Festival in Tibet today, women can ask men to give them money. Lots of pilgrims at the Barkhor Square and Jokhang Monastery.

  10. We began to hear stories about foreigners (white or Asian) cycling in Tibet without permits, from Qinghai to Lhasa, then to Nepal.
  11. Weather in Lhasa's been strange. Mid-Oct was very cold, then now in mid-Nov, it's very warm, much warmer than last year...
  12. Weather's been strange in Lhasa, summer was hotter than usual, winter arrived earlier, now burning yak dungs at the cafe, w/ a funny aroma.
  13. A guesthouse in Lhasa has a special rate for the winter time, the cheapest room costs as low as Y8.33 per day per person!
  14. We managed to help a group to get the Tibet Travel Permit within one day, but if u plan to come to Tibet, u should give us more time indeed.
  15. Going to spend tonight (after an hour) riding bicycle up to Drepung Monastery to take pics of stars... dressed like an Eskimo...
  16. Anther day in Pabongka, Nagin Rinpoche been buried in a stupa, lots of pilgrims. Saw sme rainbow clouds over the mountain, an omen or what?
