  1. Now it's time to put my fuzzy slippers up on the couch and watch a whole bunch of TV. And eat chocolate bonbons. This is the life.
  2. Spent the day burning mix CD's, reorganizing my closet, and catching up on all those chores I kept putting off.
  3. Cleaning up the friendly mess of the Annual Christmas Gift Explosion.
  4. My favourite gift this Christmas: the hugs I got from everyone. Sappy, but true.
  5. Best part of the evening: shnoogling with my aunt's sucky-baby fluffy-sheddy-cat, Pepper. I am covered in grey fur and cat love vibes.

  7. I cannot believe how many gifts are piled on our dining room table, despite us not having bought anything for each other.
  8. Tonight: grandmother's birthday party. She's one day older than Jesus.
  9. Off to put in one more day at the office. I feel the need to be in Christmas denial. Everything is normal! Bring on the paperwork!
  10. I believe we should put "Tub of Quality Street Bonbons" on our "must have" office supplies list. Keep one in stock year-round, for sure.
  11. Actually, don't feel sorry for me. All the work is getting done, and there are lots of chocolates around to take the edge off my stress.
  12. My assistant is on vacation. Feel sorry for me.

  14. @DarcKnyt RT "That's gotta beat seeing it dead, right? (Sorry, horror writer humor.) " Yes, yes it does.
  15. The olympic torch parade went right past my office window! Very cool. I've never seen the torch live before.

  17. God, I hope I get to keep this job more than another couple of months...
  18. Having two bosses who don't work in the same building as me provides all the freedom of being self-employed, plus good benefits.
  19. I love not having to ask anyone's permission if I want to show up an hour late for work. (Although I will stay an hour late tonight.)
  20. I finally set up my iPod, and I'm telling you straight up: you'll never get that thing out of my ears now.
