  1. From our awesome new food processor manual: "Its numerous functions will open the door to a whole new culinary world". Um-wow.
  2. Announcing next week's fabulous soups and getting ready for our marathon cooking day- starting Monday 6am. Bring it!
  3. Answer to earlier trivia question: without a transportation system trucking in food, Portland would run out of food in five days.
  4. Soup sampling at Fluid Market Strategies today in downtown. I give them a free lunch, they love the soup and sign up for Soupscriptions.
  5. Trivia from a recent Sam Adams speech: If our transportation system stopped, how many days of food would Portland have? ...Any guesses?
  6. Just ordered our 3rd trailer from Blue Sky Cycle Carts for our new SoupCycler.
  7. Shauna thinks this week's Baked Potato soup might be the best soup she's ever made.
  8. The public hearing for the Portland Bicycle Plan for 2030 was tonight. Most people (but not all) were in strong suppport of plan.
  9. Looking forward to next Tuesday's deliveries. Just got invited to a cookie party with customer's kids on NE 21st Ave. :)

  11. Jen, Matt, Shauna and I just finished our biggest prep job of the day- chopping 140 lbs of butternut squash for Squish Squash Soup.
  12. Beautiful big organic potatoes from Klamath Falls for our Potato Kale soup. We're about to start cooking!

  15. We hired a 2nd SoupCycler over the weekend and today is his first day delivering soup to the people of Portland. Wish Matt good luck!
  16. Soups are just about done. The Democratic Republic of Peanut Chicken is SO good- I'm having it for dinner.
  17. Just got our Monday morning B LINE delivery: 23 boxes of produce- all bicycle delivered. Let the cooking begin.
  18. Brainstorming new website ideas with our graphic design friend Dot. Fun changes are afoot starting in the next few weeks. :)
  19. Drinking the most amazing hot chocolate in Portland at Alma Chocolate on 28th and Burnside. Perfect on a chilly fall cycling day.
  20. Finally got around to weighing our fully loaded soup trailer. I was guessing 170 but it's 215 lbs.
