  1. @kidsakeeper Agree it's not as bad as some make it sound. VERY interesting, but not nearly as intense as the D class was.
  2. Today I got to act like a six year old soccer player in the NYL course. Hmmmm how many of you think THAT was a stretch? :)
  3. Working to get my national youth license for soccer coaching the next two weekends. Should be fun!
  4. @seanb_us Between years when they age up - kids can ask for whatever team they like - may not get it, but we don't usually have issues.
  5. @seanb_us We handle it by borderline banning aging up and prohibiting any inter team transfers during the year. Coaches don't pick teams.
  6. @slugoo Yes, you certainly can coach your son's team. Usually 6-7 kids per team, playing 3v3
  7. And now I'm going back into hiding until tryouts are over and new biz is off the ground. Will try to get through followbacks soon!
  8. @noodlechett Absolutely consider a new team - good to experience new coaching
  9. @slugoo, @ipastry We're always looking 4 coaches - especially at the younger ages. Register at http://is.gd/I1zx and check the coaching box!
  10. Deep Thought - never try to start a business during end of season tournaments and travel team tryouts! So much to type, so little time.
  11. New blog post: Heard On The Pitch http://bit.ly/nDTWQ
  12. @wawaVG That's awesome about the ninjas and headbands. Very cool.
  13. New blog post: Nothing Wrong With Being Prepared http://tinyurl.com/c6gufo
  14. Coolest part of this wknd's tourny? Girls came up w/their 'good luck' thing. Blue athletic tape on their left wrist. ala UNC's pinkie tape.
  15. @soccerpublisher Glad you like the site - need to get back to writing - been a busy few weeks
  16. Morning tweeps! Hope everyone had a fun wknd - ours was fantastic. Sunny warm weather - lots of soccer. Girls played their best match ev ...
  17. @dosoccer247 I hear that - and sometimes it just takes one. Probably the biggest challenge as a coach.
  18. @linbarfield Yeah - post merger tryouts are crazier and more stressful than usual. And tryout month is always loony!
  19. @futpaul All too often DOCs and leagues won't step in to deal with it or refuse to believe it's one sided and try to make everyone happy
  20. @linbarfield Ah yes - merger discussions are always lively and interesting. Good luck!
