  1. Darn it: Jodorowsky says his King Shot movie is toast, though he's still trying for Son of El Topo: http://tinyurl.com/yfwtpas
  2. @switzke It is pretty heavy on spectacle, but I'm guessing the color/speed component still works; home theater showoff disc though, yeah.
  3. @switzke Speed's got its own problems (it's fucking BLOATED) but the racing bits really are kinda excellent, and they get better as they go.
  4. @switzke Like, I imagine the Wachowskis themselves or Neveldine/Taylor could have milked a lot more personality out of this.

  7. Ninja Assassin: His Power-Up is Girls Getting Stabbed

  13. Derek Jarman's Jubilee: Hmm, I guess raiding 1977 punk scene personalities to make a nasty critique of punk ethos is maybe punk as fuck?
  14. These films are noted worldwide for their ability to bring the most hardcore Godard junkies to their knees: praise Internet!
  15. Here's the missing piece, 1970's British Sounds (aka: See You at Mao): http://tinyurl.com/5a7vkz
  16. Most of 'em are here, sourced from what looks like unspooled stock buried in Jean-Pierre Gorin's back yard: http://tinyurl.com/yam7bts
  17. That's the 1968-72 far left cinema collective which accounted for much of Jean-Luc Godard's activity of the period.
  18. Hooray, all of the Dziga Vertov Group movies not on Criterion's Tout va bien dvd are now online!
  19. Jean-Luc Godard's sci-fi sex of the future starring Anna Karina, 1967: http://tinyurl.com/ycmyxkk
  20. I'm always the last one to link to these, but here's my movie review of Astro Boy, with added action IN THE SHIT: http://tinyurl.com/ydxzq2g
