direct messages still work in Snitter. It's all done through the main timeline now (use Filter to view just D msgs)

@ AIR ties into the OS stack. I haven't discovered a way to specify proxy settings from within AIR. Sorry.

@ my original plan was to actually have the Web site store user themes, viewable from the app. you could then click and run theme.

@ you won't lose that. I'm talking about losing drop shadow and rounded corners. some reporting 10MB mem drop just with that.
