  1. Can anyone provide me with info on the shape of Japanese Mega Drive carts (esp. Sunsoft ones)? Dimensions and drawings to jp@snega2usb.com
  2. Change of color: dark tones tend to look a bit weird at the cutout edges, so I'll see if I can get something brightish yellowish....
  3. @spincube The snega2usb will be updateable under Windows using Atmel's FLIP and DFU driver. Linux folks can use dfu-programmer instead.
  4. Final connectors and cases have arrived :) PCBs will take a little longer :(
  5. Exciting week coming up - (hopefully final) connectors, (hopefully final) PCB prototypes, and first cases ever. Keep your fingers crossed :)
  6. Case manufacturer pussying out - looking for alternatives :-(
  7. snega2usb now user configurable! Just edit config file to change key assignments, SRAM write protection, etc. directly on the device.
  8. Being able to sit down with your OEM and go through everything on paper: priceless.
  9. New video out!
  10. Negotiated volume pricing with suppliers. Join the Group Buy for nice extras and up to $20/€20 off!
  11. Preordering has started! Find snega2usb pricing and more details on the homepage.
  12. Cartridges can now be changed on the fly; no more total reset required (sweet!). Firmware features complete, now for some more testing
  13. Firmware working better than ever, after complete rewrite of the SRAM part. Only one point left to (re-)do on my list :-)
  14. Note to self: before you despair of debugging your own stuff, make sure the cartridge is still alive...
  15. Partial firmware rewrite and migration to LUFA complete. Up next: more finetuning (cartridge feature detection, mem mapping).
  16. If you want your snega2usb to support SNES gamepads, go buy a multitap now and start unsoldering the connectors. Software support works fine
  17. Shipping free case samples from China: $47. Charge from my bank for shipping fee transfer: $70.
  18. Industrial prototypes are assembled and on their way. Yay.
  19. Case samples ordered. Vote for your favorite case color on the homepage! www.snega2usb.com/wordpress
  20. Who would have thought "made in Germany" is hardly more expensive than "made in China"? It certainly is a lot more convenient... :-D
