I love it so much when I spend 10 minutes getting my app into the state where I want to debug it and then the XCode debugger "times out".

I just came across a video of Dream Theater covering La Villa Strangiato. Literally? Yup, pretty close.

@ Sounds like we have different uses. Mine is usually a file containing x structXs followed by y structYs. You know only offsets.

@ Why not just cast back? MyStruct *dangerousStruct = (myStruct *) ((uintptr_t)structPtr + dangerousIntOffset). Yes, dangerous.

@ @ My rule of thumb: To index a pointer use pointer[n]. For math use (uintptr_t)pointer + nInteger.

@ If you figure out what's happening with DOM events, shout. I've got an outstanding crashed that sounds related.

@ You should! You could use Font/DA Mover, with the most beautiful interface of all time (yes, that is sarcasm).

Had a serious OS X issue, spent 5 hours trying to fix, and the actual fix was to reset parameter RAM. First time in 20 years that's worked!

@ Wait, autorepeating cmd-z doesn't work for me in BBEdit and it's always annoyed me. Is there some trick to turn it on?

Bill Bart nailed my creepy photo from earlier: it's the tail from a Mediterranean gecko that lost it's tail and was regenerating a new one.

@ My big issue with in-window find is that it forgets my wrap and case preferences, meaning it doesn't find things I expect it to.

@ Watching it twitch was pretty damn freaky. Hard to watch something die in your hallway and not even know what species it is.

Seriously, XCode's in-window Find can fucking blow me. I adore searching for something that I *know* is in the file and getting no results.
