  1. The dinner dance was an amazing success - just under £7000 raised which smashes through the target - thank you thank you thank you
  2. We did it - finished in Marlow in the pouring rain. Brilliant team and fantastic effort by everybody. Thankyou to all our sponsors
  3. 75 miles - a good day, good weather. Everybody focusing on finishing. Good cheer all round. Good food and drink tonight. Well done us lot!!!
  4. Wind, rain, more wind, more rain - need I say more but we are now into England at the end of day 4. Having to pedal downhill to keep going.
  5. 0800 the sun is shining - perfect start. Porridge and tea to get us off. Well done Waternish and thank you for continued support
  6. Countdown on - 15 hours to go. The sun is shining, bikes and riders ready and the burgers are burning on Ians BBQ
  7. Just completed typing up all routes -yeehaa - fingers crossed we won't get lost - much....... really looking forward to this epic ride
  8. have now droe and cycled all 650 miles of the route apart from the off road bit thru Birmingham which I will do this weekend and then ready
  9. Another 50 and a beautiful evening. Now drinking wine and chilling out with no aches or pain so things must be going in the right direction
  10. Just finished 50 miler thru Stokenchurch, Benson, Henley. Felt good and kept trying to make comparisons with some of the route I now know
  11. Have now driven over the route from Penrith to Walsall, Sth Birmingham to Marlow - its lovely, scenic and undulating. Well, slightly hilly!!
  12. Had a great ride with JIm, one of the team, did 23 and both felt strong afterwards. Maybe all the training is beginning to pay off!!
  13. Had a lovely ride out through the Chilterns but got my first puncture. Got the tyre changed and completed the journey before the hailstorm.
  14. Thinking about getting up to get some more miles on the bike. Wish it was the lovely sunny weather that we had last weekend.
  15. Just sorting through sponsors and supporters of the cycle ride for the website. So much to do and get cycle miles in our legs for the ride
