  1. indiana today = 50 lbs of cherries picked, family bickering survived. mostly.
  2. At least there's free wi-fi to pass the time as I wait for my mom's delayed flight. Other airports, please take note of the FREE part.
  3. er, that was bos to ind. and here i am, in this ghost town of an airport. you'd think something would be open if people are still here.
  4. ind to bos. also, who orders corona at a harpoon pub? yeesh.
  5. if you don't know you have to take out your toiletries and take off your shoes, don't go through the bloody 'expert' security line. thanks.
  6. Now literally a card-carrying Mycological Club member. Walks and ID sessions EVERY weekend from here to the end of October. Yeah-yah!
  7. Today rules: joined the milk conspiracy (raw milk!) & a mycological club (soon to be hunting fungi!) AND made a wee bike-building progress.
  8. @georgialyle Don't worry! My best customer service experiences have been with Delta. They'll take care of you! Now United ... another story.
  9. @eatboston @lillyj go to tealuxe for tra que chai. toscanini's also brews good chai (sadly, too many others use it from a box).
  10. House to myself = nerding it up in the kitchen. Homemade mayo, not as complicated as everyone makes it out to be.
  11. new to me: people protesting against me (or, rather, my place of employment). weird.
  12. http://twitpic.com/8ahz7 - The pick-your-own haul ... so, today I'm hulling, freezing, making jam, angel food cake with berries & cream, ...
  13. @hveng we can pick some things - 8 quarts of strawberries, 8 pints of peas, some TBA amount of tomatoes, and seemingly limitless herbs.
  14. crouching in fields of strawberries, running to the end of a row of snow peas, picking fistfuls of herbs. i love our red fire csa.
  15. Rainy drive from Maine to Boston. Free wi-fi on the bus. Tom Waits playing. Guess that's as good as a return to the real world gets.
  16. Maine-bound. I need more green.
  17. Open bottle of laundry soap + top of washing machine + spin cycle = great detergent flood of 2009. Zero casualties, countless laughs.
  18. Back on the grid. Back in the kitchen. Today: yogurt, maybe mayo, maybe butter, definitely green garlic pesto.
  19. i don't feel quite well enough to go yet, but here we are. i'm going off the grid in 5, 4, 3 ... until sunday, kids.
  20. wow. the fung wah got a legit ticket counter in south station. i miss the original: guy with a cash box in the corner of the bakery.
