  1. @ciscoasanchez i'm with you on that one.
  2. i know i'm not alone in my desire to see more academic journals go open access. but am i in my surprise that PNAS isn't already among them?
  3. just paid a $1.75 "stupid tax" for the first (& hopefully, but unlikely, only) time.
  4. just submitted one of the most awkward reviews i've ever written. on the upside, that leaves only one outstanding request at the moment!
  5. just a hunch, but my ceiling fan hanging from the ceiling by only its wires is probably not a good thing, huh?
  6. it's possible the PHX fireworks are viewable from my front yard. Hit me up if you want to come over (knowing that I *could* be wrong)
  7. maybe should've thought a bit more about the quality of door & window seals on 1920's-era rental...electric bill may be a 2nd rent payment.
  8. actually, Erick, OK it is. 15 hrs down, ~12 to go. IN, OH, KY, IL, MO, OK, check; TX, NM, AZ, tomorrow.
  9. wondering if I should have foreseen Louisville's "rush hour"?
  10. Taste of Chicago - ribs, check; deep dish, check; booze, check; what am I missing?
  11. Thriller was the first album (yes, on vinyl) i ever bought with my own money. i was so excited. Today's a sad day for music.
  12. woefully underqualified for one of today's tasks. luckily it's only one of a bazillion.
  13. deeper into Jersey than I ever got while living in NYC. where does one go for drinks on Princeton?
  14. finally finished the review that wouldn't end. i think my brain is revolting.
  15. took the PHX lightrail to work this morning. it's not the MTA (convenience-wise) but it'll be a nice way to not have to drive all the time.
  16. i guess by turning off the air they are telling me it's past time for working from the office?
  17. home computer just introduced me for the first time to the Windows "blue screen of death". Here's hoping my work machine's in better shape.
  18. [2/2] highlight if my (walking distance!) morning coffee. Now some Muddy Waters and more unpacking (almost there).
  19. [1/2] RT @kjhealy: You know those people who say they have no regrets in life and wouldn't change a thing I they could? I hate those fuckers
  20. was hoping Carolina's would serve up a second wind. Unfortunately I don't seem to have ordered the magic tacos.
