  12. Been far too long since last update, but teaser ad giving launch date is now up at shinydiscs.com
  13. "Female Agents" on Blu-Ray. French sub-titled, powerful, moving story of D-Day prep spies. Perhaps a little formulaic? 7/10
  14. "Lars and the Real Girl" on DVD. Three words: funny and moving. Just see it. 8/10
  15. "In Bruges" on DVD is as good as the critics say it is. Colin Farrell is genius (finally!) Politically incorrect and LOL funny.
  16. "Vantage Point" on Blu-Ray. Beautifully filmed taut thriller unfortunately goes off the rail with silly plot-holes in final act. 6/10
  17. "Candy" on DVD. Australian Romeo and Juliet meet Trainspotting. Powerful but harrowing. Great perfs from Heath Ledger and Abbie Cornish 7/10
  18. "I'm not there" on DVD. 6 great actors play the part of Bob "Jack Jones with piles" Dylan. Alas, it's pretentious, incoherent and dull. 4/10
  19. Latest "Total Film" (with Max Payne on cover) has free fat paperback "50 Greatest Interviews". Good holiday reading and bargain at £3.90
  20. "The Sea Horse" on Blu-Ray. E.T. gets remade with the Loch Ness monster in the role of alien in family WWII drama. Good HD extras too. 7/10
