  1. Still cloudy in Sheffield. Thanks for those #Meteorwatch pictures and videos. Just a shame I can't see any myself.

  10. The return of the Shuttle has been delayed, it will pass over Sheffield twice tonight, closely followed by the ISS.
  11. But the solar panels on the ISS are clearly visible!
  12. The Shuttle was just a dot in the low power scope
  13. Followed by the ISS a few mins later!
  14. The Space Shuttle has detached from the ISS and will be visible over Sheffield at a few mins to 9pm.
  15. Just observing the Sun, big surprise no sun spots!

  17. So-so last night with just the Moon shining spookily through the clouds and the odd glimpse of Jupiter.
  18. If you'd like to know more about Jupiter it will be the subject of our Beginners evening at Mayfield Centre on Monday Sep 21.
  19. Jupiter looking good in the South alongside the Moon. Jupiter of course has it's own four Moons, the Galileans on display tonight.
  20. Andromeda and the Perseus Double Cluster and well placed as are the globular cluster M13 and the brilliant double Albireo.
