  1. I've finally reached a stage in my life where I can afford to buy the books I'm looking at, but I'm too exhausted to pick & read them.
  2. Was browsing in the airport bookstore earlier. I can't remember the last time I'd browsed in a bookstore. The books looked so good!
  3. I finally, FINALLY have a holiday. Funny, how you think you've managed to stave off the exhaustion, but it will get you, and get you good.
  4. Being on-call in 2 wards & OT is pretty bad, but it could be worse. I could've been on-call in the labour room. Thank God for preserving me.
  5. Really, really tired of this job. There must be a way to qualify to practise AND still get sleep, food. A life.
  6. Thank God, managed to set a line in another chemotherapy patient. He is good to me.
  7. I am a house-officer, presently blowing up balloons for the Prof.'s surprise birthday party with O2 in the OT recovery room.
  8. On the other hand, I didn't shouted at by the reg. -as I should've been- for not completing rounds. So I guess all the shoutings even out.
  9. A reminder why I dislike O&G so much, even now: Got shouted at by a midwife, who called the ward JUST to shout at me. Ruined my whole mood.
  10. 1 of the perks of being on-call, I suppose. You see a side of your patients you won't normally see during the day.
  11. My long-stay O&G patients are so cute! With their own little long-stay club at the back of the ward, with embroidered cushions from home.
  12. Do not like taking babies' blood.
  13. I'm so exhausted these days that I'm falling asleep while assisting in theatre.
  14. For those interested, amniotic fluid tastes like raw egg white.
  15. As I was delivering the head of a leading twin, I was hit full in the face with a massive fountain of amniotic fluid. The floor was flooded.
  16. OMG, 1 of my patients is the voice of Sizuka on Doraemon! I would've never guessed it from her normal speaking voice, though.
  17. For ONCE, all the women in the labour room delivered before 2am, so I had a luxurious, guilt-free 4-hours of sleep.
  18. Feeling not just a little hurt by what a colleague implied in a txt today; just because you're working together doesn't mean you're friends.
  19. The spurter reminded me of theme park games; the ones with water-jets that'd spray at random. I miss Jerudong Park!
  20. Tiny spurter during C-section earlier. The feisty thing sprayed the surgeon, myself & the nurse with bright-red before I got a finger on it.
