  1. Yosemite. Advantages of sleeping home: 1. mattress. 2. no bear.
  2. @hackerdashery 1. People buy medical procedures without regard for price; 2. US doctors are overpaid; 3. Drugs in the US are overpriced.
  3. If you think of draft-X as fan fiction for RFC Y, it suddenly makes sense.
  4. New Facebook feed will resurrect quizzes and games and harm pokes.
  5. Most change in anything popular is met with complaints. Two reasons: 1. Change hate; 2. It had to be likable to get popular.

  8. Nowhere do people complain about cold as much as in California.
  9. Amazon EC2 just got nearly twice cheaper if you commit for a year and prepay half of it. http://tinyurl.com/cdc9t7
  10. RT myself from a year ago: Facebook geeks envy FriendFeed. Users want glitter. The tragedy.

  16. @hackerdashery The exceptions are mostly about following long-winded convention, not explaining controversy, it'd seem to me.
  17. A verbose account of any idea is second-hand. People with original thoughts write concisely. Note the length of books.
  18. @jack_carlson North Dakota has many fantastic houses with very deep and sturdy cellars. Beware of the slow walk, though.
  19. @scottaw Top tabs complaints about Safari 4 are change hate. People hate any change, even obviously to the better.
  20. Links are no longer votes. The few links on the web that are still votes (e.g., social bookmarks) are all nofollowed.
