  1. Another long day ahead of me tomorrow but I'm HOPING I'll actually get out before 5pm. Good night!
  2. @in_the_bottle Me too. Time for Zzzzzzzzzz...
  3. @in_the_bottle Yeah, finally loaded for me. It's been weird all night.
  4. Is LJ being fail-y for anyone else??
  5. @in_the_bottle Could always check apsjobs.gov.au instead hehe
  6. @in_the_bottle So at least you know if you work outside those hours, it's overtime. And if it's over 76hrs/ftnt it should be flex. ;)
  7. @in_the_bottle (cont'd) The Employer must not require an Employee to: perform ordinary hrs of work outside times of 7am-7pm on any weekday
  8. @in_the_bottle, just checking out the EB for VPS roles. Looks like a 76hr work fortnight (7hrs 36mins per day) AND... (cont'd)
  9. @in_the_bottle LOL Well it would be considered experience within the FOI process. ;P
  10. @in_the_bottle http://bit.ly/c7cGYL *COUGH* Simple search - Melb CBD + 'Legal' category. ;)
  11. @in_the_bottle BTW, re: energy to look, just think future. Perhaps better or same pay BUT better hrs & flextime! Plus other benefits?
  12. @in_the_bottle Haha. I don't mind. Had enough of them to do. :P Actually a Solicitor role I saw on Vic Govt Jobs only req CV + cover letter
  13. Still, worth a shot. Re: internal processes, SO easy to pick up. Espec with how on the ball you are. :) I don't think you'd have a prob
  14. @in_the_bottle Basically, the jobs don't always go to the internal people. Besides, even if you start off 'temp' it's as good as perm. :)
  15. @in_the_bottle Well, I can't speak for Vic govt, but not that way in Qld govt. They've made it so it works on merit.
  16. @in_the_bottle Srsly, look into Vic govt. You may not get a posn as a 'lawyer' but all govt depts need legal officers (ie req law degrees)
  17. @in_the_bottle For private? I'd be lucky to be getting $30-35K. Pay + flextime + security are the main reasons I stick with govt. For real.
  18. @in_the_bottle Srsly, speaking re: pay, for what I do (which is a bit HR but mostly data entry) I'm earning $53K + super + leave loading.
  19. @in_the_bottle Some private companies do, but not many. You should look at govt. You might even get paid more! I know I certainly do. ;)
  20. Watching SYTYCD on TV & taping Spicks & Specks on my laptop. I love living in a technology friendly house. :D
