  1. Hot lemon & brandy for the chest cold, LOTR on the computer, bundled up for a long winter's rest. Bears are smart; hibernation = goodness.
  2. The chest cold continues, but an angel of mercy made me a hot lemon & brandy. Medicinal? Maybe not, but better tasting than cough syrup.
  3. Anyone else think they make Robitussin taste horrid on purpose? My adjectives and similes lie in rubble in failed attempts to describe it.
  4. I've got a cough that's horrid. But if you MUST be sick, retreat isn't the worst time. "It's all part of the retreat." -JDF
  5. A nearly full moon and the glory of the Southern Cross. I wish I could share it with you...
  6. Sunny days in the vineyards, living in a 19th C farmhouse and time to pray and write during the day? Yes, please! http://twitpic.com/9n50i
  7. Made to Sevenhill early this afternoon. Breathing sacred air deeply once again. I <3 this place.
  8. Broken Hill is clear blue skies and cold this AM. But looking around, I shudder to think what summer temps might be like.
  9. 7:38pm sidewalks in Broken Hill are rolled up. http://bit.ly/Fzz8O
  10. Body count today in a 12 hour drive: 2 dead wombats, 6 emus (live), too many roos to count...
  11. http://twitpic.com/9hc49 Sunset about 50k's out of Broken Hill. Driving today was like crossing Eastern Montana. Only redder. And flatter.
  12. Leaving Singleton and the cadets. Preparing to cross The Never-Never. Reports from the road when I can.
  13. Made it to Singleton. Good thing I came early, because they wanted Mass tonight.
  14. Cold & beatiful in Sydney. SJ gathering @ Riverview.
  15. Grace abounds. The Dude Abides.
  16. A shockingly beautiful winter's day makes for some excellent prayer and reflection on community.
  17. Listening to Pixies this AM; the wisdom of Black Francis. "This monkey's gone to heaven."
  18. Provincial gathering off to a good start. Dinner was nice, lots of faces, many I hadn't seen in a while.
  19. Listening to Van Halen on the Monday of the last week of school before the holidays. I mean, when VH was VH, when DLR was the lead singer.
  20. Final count: 7. One Supreme Face Plant.
