  1. @MoTalking The force is bubbling over.
  2. @mgsmith57 Thanks. Ordered.
  3. Love this: http://www.boston.com/bigpi...
  4. This is what @mgsmith57 would be like if work & booze didn't keep him distracted. http://xkcd.com/666/
  5. @mgsmith57 You too. I've got about the same. Can we not build a honey trap and get them to DOS each other?
  6. RT @cianw: @sevitzdotcom but no-one knows which is which
  7. RT @cianw: @sevitzdotcom we just need two online news sources. Government controlled real news. and government controlled fake news.
  8. @cianw I don't read the Huff Po actually. Not that interested in their content. Point taken though.
  9. @mgsmith ->@cianw has a point. Bet you the onion is making money.
  10. @mgsmith57 This may not be the answer, but at least it's innovative and pushing into new and unexplored areas. The answer is something new.
  11. @mgsmith57 issue is not that paywall is the future but that news companies as they are today need to change. Paywall not real change.
  12. @mgsmith57 I bet HuffPost is making money (guess could be wrong). Agree with this: "http://✪df.ws/dik
  13. @mgsmith57 Papers generally aren't making money as content is generally same AP stuff redistributed. Scarcity doesn't exist, hence value low
  14. @mgsmith57 possible of course. My bets are against it though.
  15. @mgsmith57 I can't see how the new business model can be a long term sustainable success unless Bing can dominate. Don't see Bing doing that
  16. @mgsmith57 ... out how to make money online get traffic spike and do better. NC basically helping out their competitors. IMvHO.
  17. @mgsmith57 don't see this as a sustainable way of making money long term. Spike in rev's then decline. Meanwhile non NC co's that figure ...
  18. @mgsmith57 Point taken. Still expect failure and boost to non NC sites. Short term success (guarntd rev for a bit) long term failure.
  19. @mgsmith57 I think their traffic and revenue will drop, and web users will go elsewhere for sources. I don't believe Paywall viable.
  20. @mgsmith57 Sure. But still suspect NC just gave a massive boost to non NC pubs that will get a revenue boost making goog news more attractiv
