  1. @raamdev Based on your tweet, I bought "Flower" for the PS3 and played it today. It was awesome. Best game I've played this year.
  2. From a story in the 1001 Nights. A man woos a woman with flattering & impromptu poetry. She tells him, "your words are greater than you."
  3. Reading the Powys English translation of the Mardrus French translation & expansion of the Arabic 1001 Nights. Beautiful & brutal.
  4. RT @curiouscat_com RIP Peter Scholtes, a friend, management expert... that helped make the world a better place http://bit.ly/L3Wup
  5. @peteonrails Yeah, that's the same one as regular-expressions.info has. Nice.
  6. @peteonrails Why do you think you can't use a regex to validate an email address? There is a fairly canonical regex for that purpose.
  7. @peteonrails I use that feature in Gmail for exactly that reason. But other web apps that don't allow the + in email addresses defeat it.
  8. @jpseabury When I signed up for Force.com developer access, I had to specify a username in the form of an email address. "+" not allowed.
  9. .@grossberg I am consulting with Ruby necromancers to make sure we can bring Ruby Ambition back from the dead.
  10. SalesForce f-f-f-fail. They claim that my RFC 5322 compliant email address is invalid. I like putting "+" in email addresses for filtering.
  11. Compiling gcc42 to get gcj to compile pdftk on my Mac.
  12. RT @melampus Lessons Learned -- Why the Failure of Systems Thinking Should Inform the Future of #DesignThinking http://tinyurl.com/lzh2p9
  13. Trying to checkout a 150MB SVN repo over a sloooow VPN connection. Normally this takes about 5 minutes. This one has taken 50 minutes.
  14. @cmdln "Jack Factotum" is a term that can encompass autodidactic steppenwolves.
  15. @peteonrails Vacations are awesome! Presentations can always be represented!
  16. Heading off to the @dcrug meetup, with my short Ruby Ambition presentation at the ready.
  17. Just signed a contract to do some Ruby development work for a great nonprofit org, working with @curiouscat_com.
  18. @kaleidic When J becomes the New New Thing in about 5 years, you'll be one of the people who Saw The Future. Conference keynotes and all!
  19. @grossberg Maybe Google will Dodgeball the Jaiku out of Chrome and make it Lively.
  20. Cats are sleeping, @jillfoster is sleeping. Now going to sleep myself.
